TJ’s Restaurant Is Family Owned

TJ’s is a family-owned and operated restaurant that has been serving Valencia County residents for almost thirty years.

In 1991, TJ’s opened its doors on Becker Avenue in the heart of Belen. After five years, the restaurant relocated to the F & E Plaza on Main Street and Didier Avenue in Belen. Eventually, in 2006 TJ’s moved to 319 Highway 314 SW in Los Lunas and have been there ever since.

Charles and Julie Gonzales opened the restaurant together which is now run by their son and daughter, Charles Gonzales Junior and Jessica Zamora with the help of Jessica’s son and daughter who are both servers. Jessica says that she values the business and loves the customers it brings.

TJ’s serves a wide variety of New Mexico food including menudo and chicharrones and authentic New Mexico dishes: enchiladas, burritos, stuffed sopapillas, tacos, tostadas, carne adovada, chile rellenos, and fajitas. Other items offered include hamburgers, desserts, lots of beverage choices, and a kids menu. Breakfast is served all day with choices of breakfast burritos, omelets and much more.
