The Valencia Regional Emergency Communications Center (VRECC) is using a new comprehensive emergency alert and notification system powered by AlertSense. The system allows the VRECC to send emergency alerts, severe weather warnings, and community notifications that affect you. This free service makes it easy to receive alerts. Previously, VRECC used the CodeRED service for emergency alert notifications. However, due to a large cost saving and the gaining of new functionality, a decision was made to change to the new AlertSense service. If you had previously signed up to receive emergency notifications through the CodeRED service, you will need to sign up for the new AlertSense service as well. VRECC apologizes for any inconvenience that this may cause and appreciates your cooperation in getting this new service up and running!
